CONTRACTORS - 03 - EXCEPTIONAL TREE SERVICE

PROJECT:  Remove 30+ damaged or unsafe large trees

YEAR:  2022

CONTRACTOR:  Technical Tree Service

STAR RATING:  FIVE STARS - FANTASTIC!!!

In 2023, we finally decided to address a long-standing issue on our property—towering, aging trees that had become a serious hazard during storms. Many of these trees stood over 100 feet tall and leaned precariously over our home, power lines, driveway, volleyball court, and even our septic system. While we love the natural beauty of our wooded surroundings, safety had to come first. However, taking down trees of this size and in such tricky locations required the right professionals.

We spoke with five different tree service contractors, each with their own pricing and approach. One had an attractive price but lacked the knowledge and experience we needed for such a complex job. Another had the expertise but gave us what felt like a "we don’t really want to do this job" price. That left us with three serious contenders.

After thoroughly checking references and ensuring they had proper insurance, we confidently chose Technical Tree Service of Goffstown, NH. Not only did they offer a reasonable price ($4,500) for removing 32 trees, but they also had the right combination of expertise, equipment, and professionalism that made us feel comfortable moving forward.

From the moment they arrived, it was clear we had made the right choice. A crew of six, along with a crane, wood chipper, heavy-duty truck, and even an 18-wheeler to haul out the massive pines, pulled up ready to work. Some of the trees were nearly six feet in diameter, making the job no small feat. But the team at Technical Tree Service had a well-organized, efficient system in place.

Their approach was nothing short of amazing. The crane cut and then lifted sections of the trees from the top down, carefully lowering them to the ground crew, who quickly bucked them into manageable pieces. The wood chipper roared through the debris, effortlessly handling anything that wasn’t set aside per our request. As we had agreed, we kept the hardwood for firewood, while they took the softwood (pines) for removal. Their coordination was seamless, almost like an assembly line of precision and skill.

One of the most impressive aspects of the job was the care and control they exercised with every cut. For the final sections of each tree, a ground feller made the cut while the crane securely held the trunk, ensuring a safe and controlled drop. Given the size and location of these trees, there was zero room for error, and they handled it flawlessly. It was simply awesome to watch their expertise in action.

Pricing in tree removal isn’t really about the number of trees—it’s about the number of setups required for the equipment. Technical Tree Service completed the job in three setup locations, maximizing efficiency and minimizing disruption. Even with the scale of the job, they wrapped up in just a day and a half, leaving our property in pristine condition. They didn’t just remove trees—they left our yard tidy, with no unnecessary damage or mess.

We couldn’t be more impressed with Technical Tree Service. Their professionalism, skill, and efficiency exceeded all expectations. If you’re looking for a tree service company that knows their craft, values safety, and gets the job done right, look no further. We highly recommend Technical Tree Service of Goffstown, NH—they turned what seemed like a daunting project into an incredible experience.
